Sleeping up to 4 guests in 2 en-suite bedrooms, The Cider House is ideal for couples and small families as well as the family dog.
The cottage is one of just three, luxury, dog friendly cottages at Nutcombe Holiday Cottages., delightfully located on the Edge of Exmoor National Park on the outskirts of beautiful coastal village of Combe Martin in North Devon.
Open all year round it makes the ideal base for family holidays and couples and for short breaks (October - Easter) whatever the season. The three Grade II listed, bank barn conversions have been lovingly renovated whilst retaining many of the original features with exposed beams, English oak flooring, original stonework, granite worktops and limestone shower rooms. Each of the cottages has its own south facing sun terrace or garden with ample off-road parking. Conveniently, there is also a separate dog garden and three-acre field.
The Cider House has it's own enclosed, south facing, sun terrace accessed through the French Doors in the second bedroom. The terrace is equipped with a dining area with parasol as well as two sun loungers so you can sit and relax and admire the view with a glass or two. Just 20 feet from the front door, visitors to Cider House also have use of our large grassed area where we allow dogs to be exercised as well as our 3 acre field.
Being a bank barn conversion, the bedrooms at Cider house are located on the lower floor. In the small hallway there is a washer/dryer located in the cupboard under the stairs, The master bedroom has a king size wrought iron bed with solid oak wardrobe and bedside cabinets with lovely views out over the terrace to the hills beyond. The convenient en-suite has a full size bath with overhead shower, washbasin and loo so perfect for long soaks to unwind. The second bedroom is set up as a single room with a pull out trundle bed. As a single it makes the perfect property for small families or people wanting to bring a parent along for a break. If there are two children, we pop the trundle bed up next to the single to create a small twin room, with solid oak wardrobe and bedside cabinet. There is access onto the sun terrace from this room through French doors. Again, conveniently there is an en-suite limestone shower room, with large walk in shower, with rainfall head and massage jet system; perfect for an invigorating shower in the mornings.
