The Grain Store is conveniently placed to explore the beautiful countryside, picturesque villages and towns, the South Coast and of course the South Downs National Park - an area of outstanding natural beauty.
On arrival up a country track from the main road (A27), guests can park directly outside The Grain Store, a cedar clad conversion of a former farm building, nestled in the South Downs with stunning views across the undulating fields.
Large-boot room with washing machine, sink and drying area for muddy boots and bikes; large open-plan kitchen with Everhot oven and Miele appliances; large open-plan living/dining area with table and chairs for 10, extra large L shaped sofa and loveseat, floor to ceiling French doors across front of property allow light to stream in, with views of the rolling hillside outside. Polished concrete flooring with underfloor heating throughout. Bedroom 1 at the front of the house has a king-size Hypnos bed and French doors opening to the garden with stunning countryside views. Large family bathroom (not en-suite) with huge tub, shower and WC. Bedroom 2 at the rear of the house has a king-size Hypnos bed and en-suite wet room with WC and shower. This room is particularly suitable for wheelchair users, and the entire ground floor is wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms contain plenty of towels and use of luxury toiletries by A.S. Apothecary of Lewes. Bedding is hypoallergenic wool duvets and pillows from Wool Room and organic cotton sheets from Dip & Doze.
First Floor Description
On the mezzanine level is Bedroom 3 with two twin Hypnos beds. Adjacent is a small bathroom with WC and shower. The mezzanine area has two fabulous sheepskin armchairs, a large, comfortable sofa bed by Maker & Son, and a smart TV. The large mezzanine balcony overlooks the rolling fields just outside The Grain Store.
Window Views Description
There are extensive rural views from the front of The Grain Store which has large full height windows and French doors. The view from the dining area looks out toward the orchard. Both the open plan kitchen and Bedroom 2 look out to the back of the property where guests enter.
