At Cwm Connell we cater to dogs and their owners who share this dream of a dog-friendly retreat, far away from it all, in cosy stone cottages with wonderful walking in Pembrokeshire National Park. No roads to cross, no sounds except those of the babbling brook, cows mooing and the splash of the waves. At handpicked Cottages, we have a range of stunning holiday cottages in Pembrokshire, ideal for any occasion.
The north Pembrokeshire coastal path is perfect for dog walking, well fenced all the way so they can’t go astray and bordered by bracken and wild flowers. The views across the Irish Sea and towards the headlands of Dinas Head and the lighthouse off Strumble Point are stunning and if you are lucky you will see seals and dolphins.
From Cwm Connell Coastal Cottages you can hike to Poppit Sands and have coffee and cake at Crwst, an award winning café, and let your pooches scamper around in the sand dunes or paddle in the shallows. You can walk south along the coast path to Newport Sands and have a dip in the surf and dine in wonderful pubs and restaurants.
The Preseli Hills, from where spiritual blue stones were magically transported in ancient times to Stonehenge can be seen from the cottages. The Golden Road is a spectacular walk along the ridge between these hills, with awesome views of to the sea or inland enjoying the splendour of West Wales. You can reward yourself with a visit to a fine ancient pub, the Tafarn Sinc at Rosebush, the highest licensed pub in Pembrokeshire!
All the cottages at Cwm Connell have fenced terraces and there is a four acre fenced field for dogs to run about off the lead and socialise while their owners enjoy sea views and splendid sunsets! There is a dog washing area and even a pooch’s blow dryer. Check out our selection of dog friendly cottages.
Your dogs can relax and unwind after a long day of walking while you soothe your tired muscles in the sauna and lounge in the Hot Tub and watch the sun go down. Our kitchens are fully furnished with everything you need to cook, so you don’t need to go anywhere, you can just curl up in front of the log burner with your two and four legged friends and a glass of wine! Cwm Connell is the perfect self-catering cottage destination.
